Value for money: Vasbyt

Last year I did the vasbyt 107km race (R100.00) this year the route will be the same as lastyear and to make it attractive the organizers are noticing the global financial crises and redused the entree fee. This race is worth doing.

How will the route be different from last year?

Good for them

 

You are still paying a lot for a jumbled mess of a start, no distance markers, hardly any marshalls, dangerous roads and lukewarm powerade

Haai sies Wolfie, ons het fun gehad op daai race/fun ride.

 

The only negative thing about last year was the  "racing groups" riding the fun riders of the road, next time i will take an exstra pump

 

Powerade can only be cold for so long, it is hard to keep it cold if some people take their time on a 151km ride.

We still had the luxury of a support vehicle thanks to Pocketbikes' Vito and a nice bunch of hubbers to ride with.

Even so the road toward Delmas was a disaster with truck drivers getting in some race practice.

 

Have fun on the day, they won't see me in a hurry again
