I was thinking this very same thing the other night.

 

I was fortunate enough to go and watch the start of the durbanville stage of the giro.

 

Both the giro and the epic share the fact that loads of the entrants are among the worlds best riders.

 

I am more into road riding, so before the giro I was scratching around looking for info on the ride and the amount information/media/data that they had about it was very sad.

 

When I look at the epic coverage, I have two epic magazines lying next to bed, you open a cycling or a getaway magazine or something like that and it is constantly in your face. It is often on the TV all year round. (& i dont have dstv either)

 

oh well. No use really complaining, doesnt really help anything.

 

But just imagine the kind of media coverage the giro would get if Lance decided to come and do it.

 

It would be on freaking CNN for the week or something you know

Apparently there is some sort of performance camps for the 2012 olympic. hold in stellenbosch, or somewhere in the cape I think. But this all happens in "top secrecy". Even some of the top potential riders aren't aware of these camps.
