Used disc cleaner on the rotors and pads and sanded the pads - no luck - probably got contaminated too badly. Which pads out there are good, and good value for money? I've got XT brakes. splat Posted March 26, 2009 Share Not too sure, but have you checked things like all the bolts are properly tight. I had bad a vibration (not squeel) on a hardtail that turned out to be play in the hub. Spacers in the bolts connecting the caliper to the frame could induce a vibration.
