When is the mine dump ride - hopefully I can get my HT ready by then

Dirty Twin do you have and 420 classics for sale?

Unfortunately not but they would loooooookk very cooooool on that bike.

I only have a R@!%&$HEmbarrassed road bike so would never spend good money on it as it would still be a flipping R@!%&$H. But I did beat Spud at the Argus but then again he was riding SchwinnBig%20smile.

Will take it for a spin today and give my impressions - of course it will be purely subjective and merely an illusion according to JBBig%20smile

No ride report yet?

LOLLOLLOL Sorry Onetime, couldn't do it today. I woke up early, took one look at the bike, took one look at me, took another look at the bike and thought ... I'm not worthy!!!

I then slapped myself and had a cup of coffee and ,, took another look at the bike, another look at me and said ... Poser !!!!!

I then realised that, despite all my faults (which are too numerous to mentionOuch), deep down in my soul ....

I'm more of a Panzie than a Poser !!!!Smile

So I went back to bed and dreamed of riding tomorrow .....

Gr8 then I am planning to do Franschoek return ride Onetime.

I had a shortish (60km) ride two weeks ago and the bike is very smooth and comfortable. Handles well and seems to be a little less "twitchy" than my BMC's - checked and it has a slightly increased rake which could explain it. This is my first carbon bike and I immediately noticed the extra comfort and "smoothness" but I felt that the bike wasn't as lively and responsive as the BMC when sprinting or out of the saddle climbing. It felt a little "dead" in these situations but it is still a great ride and the acceleration is not affected, it's just the "feel" that takes getting used to after Alu.

Of course I realise that all of this is probably just subjective and that there is probably no difference between carbon, alu, ti or steel - it's all in the mind.

So which do I prefer?

Difficult to say actually - I have the BMC SSX in JHB which I really enjoy and the Carbon Stealth in CT that I also enjoy - so why pick one/!!!Wink
