Looks like a nice, entry-level DS...

 

Can't say anything bad about it, and the thing is - if you're just starting out offroad, nothing wrong with it. When you start progressing to the bigger drop-offs (like more than 1m high) then that's the time to start looking at upgrading. But for general XC use and single-track punishment, why not?

 

I have the same brakes - I'm 95kg and they're MORE than adequate for me) SRAM X5 is bullet-proof, I've got the same rims (no problem yet)...

 

You can always upgrade later, when you get more profficient etc. And if the price is right, go for it...

Thanks for that as I am just having some fun out there on an entry level hardtail but want to increase the fun level. So far best price is R 8 300.00
