Entry to Sani2c

Looks like an incredible event and would love to ride next year.  I see that entries are limited and by internet only. I assume its on a 1st come 1st serve/pay basis and thats assuming there are entries still avail once 2009 particpants have had 1st right of refusal. In reality how likely are my chances of getting an entry by simply filling in the online entry and paying the money. A friend of a friend knows some land owners that may have pref entries but that seems like a story. Any good ideas or ways in (Wink)

Got my entry for this year on the internet. Only a tries on a first come first serve basis. Don't know if it is when you grab the link for the entry form or when you submit your details but you have to be really quick and do it as the entries open. I know my ID, medical aid by heart. Also used my wife's details as my partner as I know these too. No need to spend time looking up numbers. Once you have an entry you can change partner later. They give you a deadline to pay but this is not online so you just need to get all the personal stuff for you and your partner entered. If you don't make the initial cut but have a good position on the wait list your chances of riding are probably pretty good. Know a few people who got an entry that way. Teams do drop out as race day approaches. Only problem here is that you are training in the hope that you may get an entry. If you speak to enough people you may find someone who is looking for a partner. Maybe you will be lucky the landowners route, I don't know. Anyway, good luck, it is an awesome race.

I've just been on the website now and I see that they've already started a waiting list for 2010.

I would suggest you put your name down now colin.

'Preferential' entries for this years finishers open in August after which they will be contacting 'waiting list' people first... this is my understanding of how it's gonna work anyway

Thanks nancy for the heads up on the "pre-entry waiting list". Got ref 626 which makes me think there are already 600 teams on the waiting list already. ........WOW !!!!!

R7095 per team....Cry  sigh......

hmmm..... can't put a price on the experience and excellent organization, but it is a huge chunk of cash to spend... start saving now!
