Bicycle Polo - European Championship

Bicycle polo was invented (1891) by Richard J. Mecred in Ireland, dont know if that is good or bad LOL

 

But anyhow, the Bicycle Polo Association of Ireland is hosting the European Championship this weekend.

 

We went to spectate today, and it look like al lot more fun than what it may sound. -And actually less dangerous than the bats used in hurtling Confused

 

Spokes as thick as 5mm round bar. Rider size, err... that is bigger,  does matter in this game, so mountain goats, keep away for once Wink

The french team is build around one oke, he can pick up the ball at full speed and keep it bounching on his bat while doding all the defenders, pretty impressive... Here he is hiding the ball with his body, while bounching it:
