What skewers on IDT

I have found that my skewers have bent in the past on my IDT.Do you get special skewers or what do the other riders use.

you should get a "special" quick-release that comes with the IDT.

My TacX Flow trainer came with a special skewer, that is designed to fit into the clamps on the IDT frame. Its nothing special from what i can see, its just deisigned so that the bike fits securley when clamped on.

I don't recall getting anything with it.

 

Zaskar,that looks like the old Campy Shimano QR.Wonder where i can get a rear one locally?

I was told that it was from the clamping that they bend and not the weight that's put on them.

I think you are right, its a little stronger than a normal one, and the ends of the skewer are not tapered down like normal skewers to save weight, they keep that 'barrel' shape to the ends to fit the clamps on the frame.

 

I picked up a spare skewer like that at Cajees once, but im sure any store that stocks shimano will be able to get you one, as its brought in by coolheat. Call your LBS for a price.
