Saddle Advice - San Marco Aspide

Hi all,

I'm looking at buying a Selle San Marco Aspide to replace my current Selle Italia SLR. The primary reason for the change is the scuffing on the edges of the seat which started to appear after about 9 months of use. A number of logical ways to avoid scuffing:

1) Ride less

2) Ride without a saddle (now there's a thought )

3) Eliminate anything  that can show scuff marks (leather, lorica, etc).

 

Does anyone have experience with using this saddle (the full carbon version)?

I've got the Aspide on my bike. So much more comfortable than the SLR it replaced.

Do you have the all-carbon (no cover over the shell) version? How's the "lip" at the back? It's received some bad press overseas from some users, making me slightly nervous...

No got the normal one. The saddle is very flexy wich gives it a comfortable ride.  No problems with the "lip" didnt even notice it..
