But bashguard vs chainwheel protector ....... lets see:- Bashguard - prevent damage to chainwheels while taking on extreme cross country and other such 'crazy' things as T is apt to do Chainwheel protector - this device on the other hand is to prevent the rider (yourself in this case) from getting chainwheel tattoo's or other damage to the body from the chainwheels while stumbling through technical sections You see the difference now . Not my shop although with the amount of money I've spent there in the last couple of years I'm surprised I haven't been offered shares. Replaced the stock Avid 160mm rotors with Alligator TiNi 180mm rotors Kenda Nevegals have been replaced by Hutchinson Pythons (tubeless) Replaced the 22 chainring with a 26.
