had brilliant service from garmin. my edge 305 heart rate was not working so took it in to them (Durban) while here on holiday on thursday last week. they said they would look at it. on friday I got a call from them saying that it was a software problem and they took all my details down incl the address for the B&B im staying at. this morning at 11am there was someone delivering me a brand new one with all accessories. owed them nothing.

All well, until the mount breaks (a recurrent problem they'll admit) and the unit goes flying never to be seen again!! Not so good service!!

 

Luckily we didn't pay too much for ours - thanks TryBoy Wink

next time some clear packaging tape and strap that sucker on hahaha.

 

I like my garmin too. what I would suggest is they supply it with a clear latex cover similar to what bodyglove do for cellphones. This would specifically be to keep dust/mud out of the on/off and reset button. after a few mtb races these get so clogged, getting it to work is like bench pressing 120kg. sucks.
