What works bettr for hubbers whilst racing: bottles of endurance mixtures or gels with water only? Usually the gels state that you should eat them and then flush them with water.

Does taking gels with endurance drink reduce their respctive benefits?

Well from my experience, I like to fuel with an energy drink and real food (banas, nuts bars etc.) as well as water.

 

Gels (have tried many, GU is my fav) I like to use before the race to be fast off the line and towards the end or when you really feel tired.

 

Maybe its just mental, but they really get me going in a matter of minutes!

 

Dont think using drink/h2o will matter, it's all going into the stomach anyway? But to me water tastes better and isn't a sugar overload.
