hi guys

would appreciate some advice - i'm bying maxxis ignitors for general XC use and medium-tech single tracks; mainly in the cape peninsula region

choice between 70a and 62a compound rubber - other than the generic description of 70a being harder and longer lasting, i do not have a feel for how 70a performs in real life. any experience formed views on 70a out there? does the harder compound materially affect performance? any major drawbacks?

thanks

The 70a is harder and will last longer. It'll be fine on dirt roads and in mud, but hit a rock or root and you'll know all about it. Triple that if it's wet.

Look at the type of riding you do most often, that'll tell you what to go for.
