I recently went for a bike fit and they told me my crank arms are to long.My crank arms are 172.5 mm, Im 1.76m tall but have short legs. My inseem is 79 cm. What would be beter.getting shorter crank arms or rather a compact crank?? Im really batteling to keep my cadence high in big gears!! Pls help.
AndreZA Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Compact has got nothing to do with crank arm length. With shorter arms, the cranks that is, not yours, you should be able to solve both problems.

AndreZA Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 I can't say. Don't know about those scientific setup stuff. Did they not tell you at the setup? 170 will not make a big difference. Maybe 165. Remember to set your seat higher when changing.
