Do you have to run 7900 brakes with 7900 sti's.... what would be wrong with the breaking if you kept your 7800 calipers with 7900 sti??

Would like to upgrade my shifting, but dont see any point in upgrading 7800 cranks, and brakes??

thanks... my 7800 is absolately mint condition, so probably waste of money.... rather put that toward a 2010 frame to satisfy this itch in need to scratch!!!!

but still interested to know about the brakes... i also read that there is some complication!!!

I don't know your financial situation or racing level, but do yourself a favour, read the proper review of 7900 on cyclingnews.com - they've used the groupo over many months before compiling the review.

Bottom line...7800 has still the best shifting on the planet, ok besides Di2

that solves that... keep 7800 together, its the best!!!! next questions is what frame would be an upgrade for a TCR composite 07... its been an awsome bike??? Level of racing = 2hour20 for 94.7and 2hour39 Amashova!!

Scott vs Giant vs specialized vs celvelo vs???

Now that's a much more difficult question to answer.

I watched a nice youtube clip last night from the sales dude from Colnago, and he summed it up nicely. With the top end models of most top end brands i.e. the ones you see the Pro Tour Teams ride with, there's basiclly very little difference in terms of performance and it boils down to personal taste.

A Giant TCR Advanced, Trek Medone, Cervelo R3, Scott Addict, Spez, Orbea Orca, Pina, Colnago.... they are all fantastic and pretty much on par. One might be slightly lighter, otherone more stiff, another breaks easier in crashes

Dont buy now. new 2010 stock will be out shortly so you will either be able to buy a nice new frame or get 20009 stock a lot cheaper than at the moment.

BMC,Cervelo,Giant and the 2010 Raleighs are all pretty good buys.
