Hermanus cycling this weekend

We heading out to Hermanus this weekend. Does anyone know of some good road routes that are about 100km long?

I think there are only really two routes to ride from Hermanus, both back towards Cape Town. You can go to Klenimond-Betty's Bay-Rooi Els, or you can ride up the pass to Houw Hoek.

 

Riding in the other direction towards Stanford is a little risky on very narrow roads.

Riding through Hemel en Aarde to Caledon is also very nice...except for the 14km sand road section 

 

Quiet road, nice climbs and then back passed Raka to Stanford and back to Hermanus. As Velouria says the road between Stanford and Hermanus is a bit narrow and no shoulder but, wtf, we are also allowed to use the road, no?

I was under the impression that that road had been fully tarred.

Go to the Wne Village on your way into Hermanus and go talk to Jan at Euodia adventures. He will have a few ideas.
