how is the 56km route' date=' flat/fast?[/quote']

2wh33ls, there is a sh*t load of climbs and descents. Fortunately they're only about 2cm high. The only real climb is Sorry Hill towards the end of the race.
i cried there smiley19.gif

I get the eerie sensation that you were not the only one. I think that Cry Like a Girl Hill would be a more suited name. Worst part is there is camera man riiiight at the top so you have to look your Sunday best when you past him.
Do they take a picture even when you're pushing your bike?

Nope, thats usually when the guys from SuperCycling or MiWay MTB corners you for some silly questions LOL
i reckon my comments would have been edited out...to add insult ti injury, the field after the climb was full of knee-deep mud the year i did it. i came across another hubber - who shall remain nameless - in that field also crying... smiley19.gif

Reminds me of that scene in the movie Enemy at the Gates where the Russians storm Stalingrad and one guy gets issued with a gun and the others with an ammo clip. The guys who get issued with ammo has to source their own guns from fallen comrades. Everybody looks piss scared, in tears and really confused.

i'm the jude law character, he was the ed harris dude.

Unfinished business 4 me, entered last year, collected my number and was all ready to go and then went and broke my collarbone 2 days before the start. If I get past Thursday without any mishaps I've already done better than last year

So, seeing that the CC is 2 days away... do you guys want to start in a "Hubber" group on Saturday? We can organize a time and start together, then we will take it from there, we will probably split again depending on how fast you want to go?

Personally, I am not going to give it too much carrots seeing that is my first CC. Just want to check it out and enjoy the scenery so to speak... And save some juice for the last 10km... I hear that last bit tests your sense of humor.

BTW, I'm only doing the 101kmGillie2009-10-08 01:02:45

Let me put it this way .Ive done all of the croozes so far and finished all of them but time wise ....between 5:30 and 6:30? Had a nasty fall a few years back and lost all the urge to race a mtb now I am enjoying it looking at the scenery watching the birds at the water points .....
