We need Garmin cycling routes on the hub

I wish admin can start a section on the hub where everybody can upload/download favourite Garmin 705 routes/maps.

Go to www.mudmaps.co.za and add your own routes.

You can upload the GPX file from your Edge or create a route on MudMaps and download it to your Edge.

 

Go out riding and add your routes so others can enjoy your routes too!

Its nice to have another website but i still think it would be better if it can be on the hub, where people can discuss it etc. My other concern is that we add the maps and maybe in a few months you start to charge for it?

Perhaps for now admin can setup a link to it.

I'm not planning on charging for it anytime soon. I just want to get routes out there for people to use. I have (had - lost it on some bouncy single track and didn't notice) an Edge 305 and wanted to be able to map my routes and see where other trails are. I built the site with that in mind.

 

To share your routes just link to the route itself once you've saved it -

Then others can comment about it etc.

if you go on the Cape Argus Cycle Tours page they jave a limk going to a garmin route.

www.teamgarmin.co.za hosts some coordinates to races from time to time and will find out if they will look into hosting trails too
