I cycle to work every morning and turn left up Edmond St out of Hamilton St to go past the Union buildings.

 

Neotel (or the council?) dug up the road a few months ago to lay cables and have not retard it yet. Whenever the gravel gets ridden out it just keeps being "topped up". I went up their this morning and the entire corner was full of loose sand and sands and the ditch was about 1 inch deep in places.

 

With less than 2 weeks to go before the race, I hope the organisers of this race will get off their butts and ensure that the corner is clean and the roadwoarks fixed before the race, as it could make for very dangerous riding.

The road has been fixed. I came past their this morning and was presented with a fresh strip of tar. It was filled up sometime between yesterday morning and this morning.

Oh well, he extra weight of the camera (which I didn't need) made for some good training up Government Ave
