it can be done with existing DI2 groupset. Just use the buttons that they mount ontop of the bars. Imagine if Shimano makes twist grips (Gripshifts is a ?) for this.

I don't like the idea of Di2 tegn. Don't know why 0 but just seems dumb at this point.

 

Anything with batteries find a way to break and die on you when needed most.

 

Will let "them" develop it more and do some more trail and testing. Meanwhile I'll stick to my cable shifters.

 

The day when Campy change to electronic and and most of the teams in the tour ride these - that day I will say - o well this just might be the futureBig%20smile

At the moment, Shimano is saying that they arent persuing a production electric mtb groupset as $900.00 for the rear mech is a bit heavy going for something that gets that much mud, water and general abuse.

 

Of course, it sounds like its under consideration and when costs come down, why not?
