Seoul Semiconductor P4 LED's

Does anyone know where I can get a couple of Seoul Semiconductor SSC P4's locally?

 

I've found an article about relpacing the LED in my Blackburn X6 lights (seems very easy) and using the SSC P4's - therefore I'd like to get just a couple locally.

Dont know where you can get these locally - your best bet is probably to order o/seas.

 

I have been fiddling around with ultra bright leds a bit lately. Make sure that the specs of the new are comparable with the old - I note 350 m/A. Make sure that the leds in the x6 are also 350. The current flow is regulated. If the new leds are higher current than the old they wont run at full power and if they are less then they will pop.

 

I came accross some smd leds that run at 1 Amp! These are the brightest I have found.

I am not aware of any local supplier either.

 

I prefer the Cree LEDs though.

order them from www.dealextreme.com or www.kaidomain.com. Locally you can order them from www.extremeshop.co.za. It is a bit of a schlep to register with the sites and paypal, but worth it. Free world wide delivery...

Yip Dealextreme is good.

Just note that you can get the Cree Q5 from them, read the binning on the data sheet on the LED's to see the difference in lumens on the bins. (Higher bin means brighter)

 

There is a place called rabtron (www.rabtron.co.za) in South Africa, you can try them.

I have ordered from both Dealextreme and Kaidomain; no problems, but that was a few months ago. Recently various hubbers have reported problems with deliveries from China...

I still think ordering directly from China is better than extremeshop.

 

Rabtron also offers good reliable service, but they only stock Luxeon LEDs.
