GT Peace 9r 2008 model

I've been riding this bike for 18 months now and made upgrades as I went along.

Still want to upgrade the following:

Get Hydraulic brakes (thinking of white Juicy 3's from CWC)

Hope Seat post clamp(want blue smoke, not for weight but for appearance).

The bike with all upgrades was R9500, to build up, thats without selling parts taken off.  I don't think you will get a ride this comfotable for R9500 anywhere.

Ratio in the photo is 32x18T on 29er, used for XC riding at the Woodridge XC course.

For marathons and club rides I use 32x15T or 36x16T.

I have no idea why people whould want to ride an offroad track bike of the late 30's ..its like joining fausto coppi in world war 1

if you're planning any upgrades, some lighter tyres will make a world of difference......

as far as the seat clamp is concerned, its a funny size that bike shops here will tell you doesn't exist, well CRC stocks a bunch of makes in that size (the exact size slips my mind much like the seat post does without the right size clap, the GT one isn't 10% correct)I got one from Spank......

Done any races on the SS?

Yes, I have started Crater Cruise 2008, but my crank arm(still Truvativ then) fell off.

This year I have done the St. Francis Mtb challenge 60km and Karoo to Coast.  At both races I had my gear ratio spot on.

Racing single speed is a blast especially XC, can't describe it you have to experience it yourself.
