It's a great sport and there is a lot to learn and mostly something each time you go out. Don't feel too bad, I feel the same about sand and mud and grass and a lot of otherthings, just how bad depends on the circumstances they are encountered in.

I learned that: The faster line which brought me closer to that bending-looking-stick wasn't faster at all.

The bending-looking-stick was in fact quite solid and stopped my left hand (and the handlebar it was holding on to) dead in their tracks. The rest of my bike, and my body, continued on their merry way resulting in 5 stitches and a very bruised knee.

There goes my front wheel.

There goes my training for the Magoebas Classic. Dead

Might not be able to ride the race at all. Angry

Learnt today that the drops (not sure of the correct term) at the ends of my handlebars are quite neat in stopping my hands from slipping off when going down a singletrack.  They sure as hell kept my from plowing face first a couple of times today.

I have learnt today that the Universe gives us more than one option at a time, and its your choice which one to take, example the mud or the dry path ? the dry path might seem safer, but you don?t see the huge bolder hidden in the path. You make the choice ? you have to live with it. Big%20smile<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I have learnt previously that sand = 3rd brake

I  learnt on saturday not to try and get off going down a hill, (thank you to the guy who came back up and helped me up)

I learnt yesterday, that falling off on a saturday hurts like hell when you keep banging the cuts and bruises during the sunday race.
