Roons Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 OK - so I am looking for a recommended town/base where we can do a 200+km circular gravel road, long slow distance - through the night. Factor to take into consideration: 1. Close to Johannesburg (somewhere where we can leave on Saturday 2hrs drive max) 2. Safe gravel roads where we can ride through the night - so physical safety and no/low traffic 3. LSD route so not too concerned about mega hills etc. 4. Small towns, stop overs en-route added bonus Was thinking of back areas around Clarens?
