Since there is a backyard conversion where you can make your MTB tubeless.

What about road bikes?

Slime does work in road bikes (I have tried), even under the pressure. I know because I have pulled thorns out at 8 bar and the holes are sealed.

So why cant we install a rim sealing strip and a bit of slime and get it going?

We wont need much slime in road wheels to do the job and the weight saved by not having a tube would balance it out.

Any ideas? Volunteers?

Your rim of choice. No Tubes CX conversion kit. Nice new tyre with a good folding bead, eg. Shwalbe Ultremo.

Follow the installation videos on the no tubes site. Bob's your Uncle and Fanny's your aunt. 1 Tubeless road wheelset.
