rydon lenses go from totally clear to let's say semi tinted. They definitely give sufficient protection in direct sunlight.

I use them for road and mtb. Lenses can't break. They have a lifetime guarentee. (impactX lenses)

Only drawback is that they are not polarized. You can get photochromic polarized' date=' but not the clear ones i think.

sorry guys but im totally confused now? do you get different photochromic lenses eg different colours that go lighter and darker or are they all clear and then go dark?

you get different ones.

Look at the website. I also had to do some research there as they have different kinds of lenses and different colours.

CWC does not give the helmet and t-shirt as well as another website where I found them cheaper. I specifically asked.

I think you can get the special when you pay normail retail, wich for the rydons is about R2300-R2500.

MAckiemoo do the lenses go from totally clear to tinted? how are the lenses in direct sunlight? do they give sufficient protection?
They go from totally clear to about 80% shade' date=' when cycling you usually arent staring into the sun (Unless you have just seen your ring piece) They are hundreds I use them for driving occasionallly and have never had to squint in very bright conditions. I was also sceptic at first, but now I will never ride with any other lenses in my life again.[/quote']

I have the clear photochromatics, but they don't get very dark from inside the car no matter how bright it is. I was thinking that the glass windows might be filtering some of the UV light. I can't use mine to drive, but the minute I step outside, they darken. I have a pair of action brown (standard lenses) which are great for driving, and the photo's are best for biking.

Ok, for the blind moles, you are able to put these with the lense insert through the medical aid, correct?
