Am I doing something wrong or can you just not add a URL to your signature?

do not now if you can use url in your signature . you can use to show a pic

usually you need your signature hosted elsewhere and then load the url link up in your profile page.

try www.imageshack.com

The trick is that you have to put in the http:// bit, and not just start with www.
