Eldron Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 So the other day I experienced the dreaded "disc squeal". How did I solve it? I used the hub of course! Did a search, found the info and 30 minutes laster - voila! Silence. How did I do it? Cleaned the rotors with auto disc brake cleaner, lightly sanded the brake pads and gave the back of the pads a quick spray of Copaslip. It took a few hundred meters to "rebed" the pads before braking was back to 100% again but oh the silence....mmmmm.....

Johan Bornman Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Well, now we'll never know what solved the problem. It is either the cleaning stuff or the sanding of the discs or the coppaslip. Spray-on coppaslip? Who makes that? I've only seen tubes so far.
