Hey guys,

I bought myself a new bike, with avid juicy 4's. The pads are touching the discs on both wheels (neither can freely turn).

Any links or reading material on how to fix this? I really don't want to take it to the shop, preferring to try and fix it myself first?

Loosen the 2 bolts that holds the calliper down, but not completly.

Pull and keep the brakes locked

Tighten the 2 bolts again

That is it, easy as pi....!!!Wink

undo the caliper bolts, move the calipers to the other side. lightly tighten the bolts and spin the wheel. Continue like this untill it is moving freely. I actually use a small torch that can stand on it back that I place underneath the caliper shining upward. You can see the gaps between the pads and disc better this way.
