capeofstorms Posted January 27, 2010 Share @msbehavnHi, that's for training. I meant what are the split times at certain points in the race if one were to aim for a sub 4 ot sun 3:30 finish

Cheese Posted January 27, 2010 Share Sure , You will be able to get it on the Tour site closer to the race , should not make a difference to your training though.

dee_biker Posted February 17, 2010 Share Just in case anyone's still looking for it: http://www.cycletour.co.za/splittime/SplitTimeCalc.xls Aaah, great! Mailed the Cycle Tour for this a couple of weeks ago. Obviously no answer!
niklasvm Posted February 17, 2010 Share does this calculator include boyes drive?
dee_biker Posted February 17, 2010 Share Mmm, this does look like the 2008 route... :\
niklasvm Posted February 17, 2010 Share i like it how for the sub 3 splits you have to climb Chapmans peak at 31km/h. I also think that you'll be able to ride faster down Suikerbossie to the end. Looks like i'll have to if Boyes drive hasn't been taken into account.
Mrs Colonel Posted February 17, 2010 Share Does that calculator take Boyes drive into account?

niklasvm Posted February 18, 2010 Share Well thats good news i guess. Should maybe take the splits now and start practicing on the route.
dirtyjoe Posted February 19, 2010 Share Buy the new issue of the Bicycling magazine. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />Between pages 32 and 33 is a time split sheet dived into columns from a sub 3 to a sub 6.It's actually a sticker which you can stick on your bike.dirtyjoe2010-02-19 17:30:
capeofstorms Posted February 24, 2010 Share hi, There seems a big difference betweem the time splits on the cycle tour website and that published in the latest edition of bicycling magazine. Hard to figure which one is more accurate. It could make a difference as to whether you achieve your set time or not
