I think the Joplin weighs under 500g, so it's hardly a train smash, especially when you consider the difference it makes to your riding. It's worth it in my opinion.

I am enjoying mine - makes a huge difference. Maybe look at the KS Cobra as well - it has 4" or " drop, the Joplin sometimes feel like you could use a little bit more drop, specially on very technical trails and jumps.

But that is going on hearsay - as I said, I have been very happy.

If you want to go extreme of course, you could get teh black mamba with 9" of travel!

I had a look at all the different seatposts just before christmas and ended up getting the gravity dropper seat post with a 1" and 4" drop.

The guys at gravitydropper were extremely helpful and 4 days later i had my post.  Had a bit of buyers remorse wondering if i should have got the joplin or the KS.

Had about 15 rides with the post so far and ive got to say there is no way im going back to a static post.  Make sure whichever one you get has a remote switch.

I chose the gravitydropper because it was so simple, theres no complicated mechanics, so easy to fix if it goes wrong.  Every single part is available from the gravitydropper site so thats also a plus.
