First time I did this race and it was great' date=' even though I had the flu and barely managed to limp across the finish.Scenery from the top of that mountain almost justified the climb up and the descent, well, that justified every one of the metres up!Well done to the organizers, participants and marshals and thanks for giving me an experience to remember. IdeJongh: How did you go? 75 km next year?[/quote']

Race was awesome, every pedal stroke was awesome, the view, the river crossings.  Slightly disappointed in my time, badly wanted a sub3 and ended up doing 3:06, but from now on its full marathon, so no looking back.

Sad to hear you had a rough time.

Well, flu happens smiley7.gif
Still enjoyed myself, just much more slowly.
I think Sabie will be my last 45 after that I am committing to the full marathons too.

Awesome buddy, Sabie Im doing long one already, Im going to die.  But hold thumbs!!  You perhaps not aiming for SabieX end of the year?

No, but I am planning to do Swazi frontier, if I can get in!

My brother has done the last couple of Swazis (that doesn't sound right) and said it was the best MTB experience he has had.

I live in Tzaneen so all of these races are close for me.
