The Pirate Posted February 9, 2010 Author Posted February 9, 2010 First drama of the day, Kurt-Asle ARVESEN crashes out for team SKY Geert STEURS (TSV) - Wouter MOL (VAC) make the big break for the day building up a lead of over 15 minutes. The Tour leader get's caught out by the wind and puncture. His Team SKY team falls back to help him and basically loses the Tour that way.

First and second on the GC with more than 2 minute gap to 3rd overall. Boonen, Haussler and co. chased in vain.
