Work iT Posted March 9, 2010 Share The Cosmic Carbone SLR are probably the most awesome wheelset on the market. Extremely responsive, light and it descends extremely fast. It's definately not the lightest wheelset on the market but it deserves to be right up there. It's extremely smooth as well. It's also cheaper than ZIPP 404's and Eastons. If you're considering getting a new wheelset, then go for the SLR.You won't be sorry!! Andyr249 Posted March 9, 2010 Share How long have you had yours? Are the carbon spokes prone to failure like on the R-Sys?
Work iT Posted March 9, 2010 Share I got them about 6 months ago, so I had a fair chance to ride them.Did about 1000km's on them.I can't really comment on the r-sys as I didn't ride them.I've been riding Mavic Kysrium ES and thats a fantastic wheelset as well. MariusL Posted September 20, 2010 Share How long have you had yours? <DIV>Are the carbon spokes prone to failure like on the R-Sys?</DIV> I've had mine about 10months, and they are by far the best wheels I've ever used 9and the most expensive I've ever bought ). Super responsive, and very very very fast! I've actually resorted to leaving them at my folks place, so that I am not tempted to train on them... they come out for special races, and IronMan. I train on old heavy 36 spoke wheels, and when these come out... boy does it feel like I am flying. I have put on a good set of conti racing tyres, with lightweight tubes, and KCNC skewers... these wheel are the shizzzzzzzzzz. Just my 2c
