Rear Hubs

Sounds like you're taking what they say way too much on trust: they say it's the hubs, and you're looking for new ones already? I think rather change your bike shop. Creaking, to me, usually means the "fixed" parts - your cranks, seat post, etc, rather than bits that are lubricated.

Got the bike back just now from the LBS (just in time for a big rain storm!) and they said it was the cones that were loose. I will be going to buy myself a couple of cone spanners this weekend and a cassette puller/tightner thing at month end. I will do my own services (LBS wants R300) but as it is still a relatively new bike (6 weeks, 700 odd Kms) I am just worried about having any issues with any parts that may be covered by a warranty.

The front hub is HB-M475 and the rear is FH M475. Anybody know these hubs? The sad thing is my 14 year old MTB still has its original hubs and works fine!!
