Thule ClipOn Bikerack

I went to Thule at Cedar Square and the sales guy told me that the 9103 clipon rack will bend the top part of my 2010 polo's rear door. At the woodmead store a while back nobody mentioned it so Im a little concerned.

 

 Have you guys heard of this happening or know of other cars where this happened?

I have one of those. Mine basically lives on the boot of my Polo and I have had no damage what so ever to my boot
