tazz Posted April 28, 2010 Share Is it possible to run a Deore rear derailleur with an 8 speed Sunrace cluster and Altus shifters. My chain runs fine on all gears besides 6 and 7 it slips if I apply any decent force the gear change from 8 to 7 is quick and smooth. Johan Bornman Posted April 28, 2010 Share You say it is a Sunrace cluster. Sure it is not Suntour? Also, remember that clusters are screw-on and cassettes slide onto a splined freehub body.
