Counter clockwise. Lefty loosy.

Use a good hex socket in a sturdy ratchet and place the bike on the ground, when loosening it. These things are torqued tight.

I still remember my late Dad telling me at least 35 years ago 'righty tighty lefty loosy' .... nice reminder of that JB Big%20smile

Cool thanks guys, i know sometimes the normal rules of lefty loosy dont apply, so just wanted to make sure ... in the end turns out leverage did the trick , i.e. extending my hex allen key ...
