Reden Posted July 15, 2010 Share Busy upgrading my road bike. (Tommasini)It's price against weight. Both Mavic wheels.Training - Aksium, cheap but heavy.Race - Cerium Elite - Light but expensive. Would the Cerium's be viable for training tooand would the Aksium's be ok for racing.I'm not a front contender but would like something fancy on my bike too. Harry Potter Posted July 15, 2010 Share The Aksiums are good for both. If you kan afford it get yourself a good set of wheels to race with. Train with them and race with them. a month or two later get yourself training wheels. You can get them for R800 easy.

Big J-WP Posted July 15, 2010 Share I know that the best rider in Cape Town only has one set of wheels and he uses itfor training and racing he just changes his tyres around. So its not necessary to have both. But it is nice to have two pairs of wheels.
