GPS mapping on Cell Phones

whats the battery life like, when using gps?

 

Not sure to be honest, I imagine it won't last forever, but I havent had it die on me yet. If you want to save battery life, you can obviously not use the ipod app, and turn off the talking. that should save it a bit.

my nokia usually lasts on 4 hour rides if its freshly charged.

I am using SportyPal on an Android phone - works well and doesn't drain the battery significantly. Rides are uploaded directly to the SportyPal website (www.sportypal.com) where you can see more detail (intergrates with Google Maps).

My brothers are using SportyPal on their Symbian phones and it works just as well there.
