AndreZA Posted August 25, 2010 Share No ways, in three months time when you move your saddle backwards or forwards and want the stem shorter or longer then you need to lift the stem up. Keep it like that you will regret cutting it off one day. And no I dont speak from experience I use that whole 300mm steerer tube. You should not have the stem right on the edge of a carbon steerer tube. There is a posibility that you can crack the edge of the tube. Always have a 5-10mm spacer above the stem so that the stem has more room to clamp the tube. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
