What is better spinning bike or IDT?

When I say better I actually mean more comfortable.

Obviously whatever replicates your road or mountain bike ito saddle, set up,geometry closest.

No brainer

The thing is I have a indoor trainer but I dont enjoy it at all so I am considering buying a spinning bike but not 100% sure yet.

A spinning bike will be just as boring and tedious as an IDT.

how is the spinning bike going to be any different from an IDT? Get rollers, at least you will be challenged for the first few training sessions

maybe no difference in training the legs but I don't enjoy sitting on the bike with the trainer. Its very uncomfortable and I was thinking maybe a spinning bike more comfy????

maybe go for a spin class or two at the gym before buying a "comfy" spin bike. Sitting on a bike, IDT, spin bike will never ever be comfortable

I think its gonna be pretty much the same. The difference is on the road you change position often, then stand up when climbing, stop at robots. Where on the IDT you tend to sit all the time and then it becomes uncomfortable.

if you use a spin bike with heavy fly wheel and good setup variability then a spin bike is better for training. dont buy cheap else you will waste your money.

due to current circumstances i spent the last 8 week an average of 8 hours a week on a spin bike with sessions ranging from 1:30 to 3:30hrs (im still sane- but just). get yourself some good music and a mp3player of start watching series 24 season 1-8?, or smallville season 1-232(has superman flown yet??)

anyway, if you plan on doing multi-day events then you have to spend more time on your bike and stationary bikes use should be limited

Thanks for help guys but I think I will go for the spinning bike as I tried a one last night and feel that its much more stable and the broader saddle is more comfortable. Maybe get a few Carmichael CD's and it will be like sitting in gym.......lol
