Me and Lilo did it. I did the "59km" and she did the "37km"

Firstly I'll mention things you should Not change - The Marking on route was brilliant, more so the Locals at the turn off were very supportive, they all deserve a pat on the back, the one even helped push me up a little hill +1 there.

Water Points, I did not stop at any but I should have, Lilo told me they had little chocolates already opened and ready to eat at some of the water points, good stuff!

Technically I'd not change the route, I found the downhills rid-able at fast speeds so that's always nice after we spend hours climbing.

What I did not like about the race or rather the info we received Re: Distance and Total Climbing was not accurate. The 59km was in fact closer to 63km and the 37km was just over 40km's - the total Ascent for the 63km was between 1600-1700m and the 40km was 1000m.

The only thing I'll change about the race is the distance, spending almost 4hours on 60km mtb is to much.

If you want numbers to come to your race you should make the medium route a lot easier, the route is waaayyyy too difficult for a "normal" MTB'er so tackle.

Like Marius said, the marking was brilliant, I got lost at one stage where you go up and reached a dead-end at the tar road just before joining the medium route.

ONE HECTIC RIDE!!!!! :D

Lilo's father almost did not make it to the finish, his only been cycling for a month of 3 now and it was his 3rd Mrb race, not sure if well get him to do another Mtb race after that:P - Like Auction Lamb says, it's not for the Av Joe Smoe doing 1 or 2 training rides a week.
