Right so its been long enough since the Zula was launched to get a good comparison? I currently have a 3 year old Ellsworth Truth that's nearing the end of her time. I was thinking of upgrading (or in some opinions) downgrading to the Morewood Zula. I love to get some REAL comments from people who have ridden both. I am worried the Zula might be too plush and not give a true XC ride like the truth :(

OK I have not had a ride on the Truth, but have tested the Zula for a few days. The Zula is not super plush and to be honest I suspect will be stiffer and faster than the Truth, I hope that is the truth!

I can't compare the two, only ever ridden a Zula, despite my best efforts to try getting a Truth for a test ride.

The ride is plush yet very responsive, tap the pedals and she scampers off. Had my most comfortable crater cruise ever, those corrugations were smoothed out wonderfully.

Your best bet will to get hold of one for a back to back test spin

I Have been riding a Zula after riding a santacruze blur Lt for 2 years. I was looking for something more racy and bit lighter.

My first opinions were definately not that the zula is plush, although coming from a 5.5'' VPP bike I guess snothing would(nothing with less travel)

What I can say Is that even though it has less travel and definately goes forward much quicker than the blur when stomping on the pedals It still goes down like a rocket, The geometrry encourages having fun Poping and launching everything, somehow with much less travel and much stiffer feeling suspension it gets through most roughstuff just as well as my blur, At the moment I have a reba 120 up front which still needs to come down to 100mm, so at the moment It doesnt climb as well as it should, but definately gets the power through to the pedals very well.

I thought I made a mistake after my first ride on it, but Loved evey minute of my last ride in Jonkers.

Its got my "stomp" of approval.

Exactly what I wanted.
