It's not the first time somebody has made the "topwhine" joke. Still funny though.

It's not the first time somebody has made the "topwhine" joke. Still funny though. Been laying off the Hubbing for some time, so missed the initial opportunity to jump in on the topwine punning. It just asks for ridiculing. In fact, I think it deserves its own thread! I miss PPA and the blond girl who used to make announcements. She was funny... I still have my transponder, but seeing that there is no "funride racing" here ( a contradiction if ever there was one) I don't get any timings. Strange thing is I still ride my bike. Weird that....

Agree u do seem weird but have quite the talent as a master debater!

People like Willehond and Bikemonster have no other way to debate the issues or facts at hand. Normally when they have no arguments left, they revert to attacking the person instead of the argument, to try and make the other guy stop or go away and hide their own incompetence.

The quote of yours that I quoted quoted a quote of Icycling (hope that makes sense ) which referred to the PPA website (where anyone can go to see what the money is spent on - another issue raised in this thread) and to the AGM (where members could have gone to raise concerns). I understood the quote of yours which I quoted to refer to both of those references and it appeared that you were refusing to go to either the website or the AGM. I think it is unfair of people to complain about how PPA spends its income without going to the website to see what they do with it. That's what I was commenting on as I thought that that was what you were, at least in part, saying. If you were only referring to the AGM, not to the website as well (which appears to be the case from what you said after that, which is what I'm quoting in this reply), I misunderstood you and I apologise.

I’ve been involved in organisations where you try and perform a service and then have to face the critics for your efforts. I share some of the gripes about the PPA, but moaning about it on a forum is not going to make any difference. I think any person who pay to enter an event, should get all the “benefits” they paid for. That includes results. If the same person wants seeding, they should pay for that too. If you can't beat them, join them! As Icycling pointed out, there are not even enough people who are willing to join the committee to fill all the available positions. If you want young blood to run the show, get enough people to volunteer for it and get voted in! Be the change you want to see!
