I see that the pricing for the new Quarq PM has been put on their website.

 

$1195 for the PM

$995 for the head unit.

 

They are priced separately because the PM will be compatible with the Garmin.

Hellishly expensive..... one can buy a very well equipped middle range bike for that price!!!!!!!! What does it do????? Provide lights for the whole street????????

It has a mini pebble bed reactor in it - for those really hard climbs!

Saris were doing some market research about 6 months ago on disc brake compatible hub, you may want to send Adrian (adrian@bicyclepower.co.za) a note and find out what's happening there.  Can use a powertap with a V-Brake though.

what!? I had a look on the inside of my PowerTap when I had to replace the bats, I don't think I'll trust the PowerTap on a Mtb? Stuff will shake loose for sure, also the exra weight on a mtb, mtb'es are already so heavy..

Marius that is my only concern, the durability. The extra weight I'm not too stressed about. The Ergomo I believe has been proven MTB proof, but not sure about the others.
