Is it worth upgrading to a Cannondale lefty jake 105 xc

I have a Cannondale f800sl with a fatty dl Headshok.

I am considering to put a Cannondale lefty jake 105 xc shock in the front for an inexpensive upgrade.(got complete shock and wheel)

Can any one tell me how the 105 jake lefty performs?

he he gee thanks caad4 but I am sure there are others longer in the lefty tooth than myself here. I am just hooked on the totally innovative and unconventional technology, resonates with my persona. That's why I left Benoni all those years ago.

 

I don't really know the different Lefty models in detail, and there seems to be a few, but its easy enough to find specs on the web. I find myself salivating over $1000 Lefty carbons on ebay though only because they look so damn cool.

 

The +ve reasons for a Lefty are weight and travel, hows does that compare to the Fatty DL you have? One of the -ve is that the lefty wheel needs that special hub, which is not a problem really just means you can swap wheels around too often. There's quite a bit on You Tube of how the thing actually works, with needle rollers etc.

 

GBA3 if you are going to fit that lefty and have your headsock going, I would be interested, since it has a lock out and I need to upgrade my F500 with that, please lets talk, and let me know if I can help any further at all.
