Doing this for the First time, so what can I expect?

 

What I have heard is that T1 is quite long...a long run with the bike?

The bike leg is a 2xloop with quite a steep climb to the turnaround point?

yes, T1 is uphill and a couple of hundred metres long but is not too bad actually. The run is quite hard as you climb from the cabana hotel all the way up to the palace hotel and then back down and through the golf course. it is quite windy with lots of turns.

 

The bike is not too hard (unless the wind shows up that is) except for that climb up from the entrance of suncity to the turnaround point

 

all in all one of my favourite triathlons in gauteng!!!!!

One of my buddies is doing this race and I would like to tag along as a supporter. Does anyone know if I will have to pay the entrance fee at Suncity. Apparently it about R240?

@Grodpad what i would do is say ur buddy is part of the team event, R240 it is a RIP OFF to get in.
