OK so a while ago I had this tread goiing.

 

I put the Larsen at the back, but it is time to change that tyre.

 

So with the two left, in what combination do I use them now?

If I can at all?

 

Kenda:

Flip a coin and heads win front, tails at the back. Then put on helmet, gum guard, elbow and knee pads and go too fast around a tight corner somewhere on your usual ride. Swop front and back tyres and repeat. Whitchever one hurts more, use the other combination. If it does not hurt at all, start from beginning, at higher speed....

 

(Seriously, simply put the knobbliest one in front, keeping wear in mind also.)

Exactly what I am trying to avoid. - that skidding part.

 

What baffles me is the Kenda is the knobbiest (?) , which means that one in front.

 

But the Scorpion is thinner 2.0 as appose to a 2.6 ??

That brings us to the next point: putting the fattest tyre on the front. Generally, you'll want as much shock absorption on the front as you can to save your arms, so if the knobbliness of the two is similar, put the fat one on the front.

 

PS: How did your 30km race at Dirtopia go in the end?

Woke up on Sunday morning to find my back wheel tyre flat....Now with all the doubts I had already..... I decided not to go.

 

Had a nice ride on Monday in Eden to wards Jonkershoek side - eventually. :)
