My ss should be ready soon. The other day I made a lousy attempt to ride only in one gear for as long as possible on my geared Mtb. I gave up after 10kms by changing to an easier gear on a little hill. With the ss I will now be forced to ride in one gear.

I think instead of a club, there should be one ss race/rock concert per year, where ss riders from all over the country get together, race a tough course and party afterwards. A club takes a lot of effort and I think there are already too many mtb clubs in SA.

 

I think this might be the best idea yet! I would definitely be more interested in something like this than a club as such. Would be cool if we could do something along the lines of the ss world championships, a full weekend maybe of ss riding with a race on one day and a "critical mass/costume" ride on the other.

Oddly I have way more fun on my 10 year old Ra Lay then Kermit.

 

Kermit is me faithful work horse and Ra Lay is bike I couldn't afford when I was 10 years old that I would have loved and washed and polished and oiled the chain and kept in my bedroom and wheelied all day.

 

No more beer for me in the evening....
